  A warm and welcoming congregation. The choir is unbelievably awesome! Pr. Butler is wonderful in imparting the Word of GOD and the Bible in such a way that it makes sense in our lives today.

  St. John's is a must see historic landmark in downtown Charleston. Incredible traditional service with an extremely talented choir. A view of the elaborate organ is worth the trip on its own.

  A warm, friendly, inviting, place to worship in the Charleston area. It has a traditional Lutheran service with a pastor who delivers a very captivating sermon well worth your time. I strongly recommend St. Johns whether you are a visitor in Charleston or a life long resident.

  This is an historic Lutheran Church with a great congregation. The Pastor is a wonderful preacher and brings the scriptures to life each Sunday. The people are warm and friendly and the services are rich with tradition accompanied by great choral and organ music.

  The moment my husband and I walked through the doors we knew we had found our church home. St.Johns has everything. A rich history, beautiful place to worship, warm and friendly congregation and an amazing Pastor. We feel very blessed to be a part of this wonderful church family!
